10 Awesome Ways to Volunteer this Month!

Coldwell Banker Distinctive Properties is committed to serving our community. The Distinctive Angels program was established as an opportunity for our agents to get involved. This program is our company's initiative to support community outreach programs each month. We are excited to be a part of this program and to get out in the community! 1. Sweet Pea Festival 
The Sweet Pea Festival is an iconic weekend in Bozeman full of fun activities for all ages to enjoy and it started YESTERDAY with chalk on the walk! Today you can enjoy Bite of Bozeman on historic Main Street. There will be drink, food vendors, and entertainment. If you are interested in volunteering between now and August 6th click here and as a Thank You they will give you a free 3-day wristband to everyone who works 3 or more hours!
2. Firehouse 5K
For $35 you can participate in this awesome race that wraps around the scenic Gallatin County Regional Park on Bozeman's west side as well as support Bozeman Firefighters Local 613 (a non-profit organization, and the funds they raise go to their Benevolent fund which is how they give their charitable donations!) . The race will start and finish in front of Bozeman Fire Station #3. Following the race there will be prizes, an open house at the station, free food, and fun activities for kids!
3. Kick Off Party for Bowl For Kids' Sake
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gallatin County is an amazing organization of mentorship for kids in our community. Meet at MAP Brewing on August 22nd from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for their Kick Off Party for Bowl for Kids Sake. During this evening you can learn about Bowl For Kids' Sake and sign up. There will also be trivia, raffle, prizes, and more. Buy a pint glass that includes a free beer to support this event. For more information visit www.bbbs-gc.org.
4. Annual Lower Madison River Clean Up
"Join this collaborative effort to spruce up one of our beloved home water stretches." On August 12th, volunteers will meet at the Warm Springs Access at 9:00 AM for a brief safety talk, clean up directions, and float details. You will be done around 1:00 PM and meet at the Trapper Springs Pavilion where they will have food, drinks, and some prizes! If you have a boat, they really could use your help! 5. 4th annual BAHA Golf Torunament Fundraiser 
Support the Bozeman Amateur Hockey Association on August 13 at this golf fundraiser! Team spots fill up fast, so be sure to reserve your spot ASAP! For $400 you get Greens fees for 4, carts, lunch and a gift bag!
6. CMB’s Lemonade Stand at Sweet Pea 
Bring out your inner child by volunteering with the Children's Museum of Bozeman at a lemonade stand! Sign up for two three-hour volunteer shifts on August 5th, and they'll reimburse you the $20 cost of your weekend festival pass!
7. Williams Golf Tournament
This event is being held on August 11th (next Friday) to benefit the Montana Home Project. It is a scramble-style Golf Tournament for teams of 4. So get a team together and contact Nick at (406) 922-1497!
8. Grizzly Gala 
Montana Grizzly Encounter's 6th Annual Grizzly Gala is next Saturday (August 12)! This event will have many special guests including UDAP with their bear attack simulator, Camel Discovery with meet and greets and rides with their amazing camels, a raffle to win a meet and greet with Brutus The Bear, a Silent Auction, Kids Games, and Food and Drinks!
9. HAVEN
HAVEN is an amazing organization in which you can volunteer with all year! "HAVEN is committed to reducing the incidence and minimizing the impact of domestic abuse on families and communities. They provide emergency shelter, crisis intervention, on-going support, referrals, and education." There are a number of opportunities with varying commitment levels. Learn more here.
10. Tiny Tails Spay and Neuter Clinic
Are you an animal lover at heart!? Help out at this Spay and Neuter clinic put on by Tiny Tails K-9 Rescue on August 13th.
