Take a look at this historical building, the original Hodson Cleaners that is located on one of St. Joseph's most heavily traveled roads, located in the downtown district with many newly renovated buildings with restaurant and bar establishments. In 2018, it was purchased and cleared out and a change of use for restaurant/bar was approved. Structural repairs were completed, an entire new facade on the front of the building including framing, windows and stucco. Added side entry door for ADA compliance. All the windows replaced with thermal windows including the big picture windows. Some construction for the planned restaurant/bar was started when COVID happened and the project was paused. It’s still a clean slate or someone could use the BBQ concept that was planned. All original trim and doors have been preserved.
